Penthouse in the Ziggurat

Penthouse in the Ziggurat

The awkward configuration of the existing shell space ultimately proved to be a positive generator for the design of this 205 m² penthouse apartment. A series of distinct sub-spaces, animated by light and defined by mood, function, volume and outlook, have been created within an essentially open plan.

A mezzanine floor inserted over the central wing of the plan accommodates the owner’s gallery bedroom and bathroom. Cut through these spaces is a slot with frameless glass roof to provide access to an upper level roof terrace. North, east and west outlooks provide an ever-changing play of natural light within the space.
