Trinity Road

The urban site of FORMstudio’s new-build development of 14 apartments abuts a busy junction on the main road through Wimbledon town centre. This brownfield development replaced two semi-detached dwellings. The apartments benefit from excellent amenity spaces, with the ground floor units having their own private gardens, and the units of the upper floors each having roof terraces or balconies.

The design has taken into consideration issues of overlooking by including four elegant, vertical fins with a convex curve. These fins successfully angle the views through the rear windows whilst giving a unity to the rear façade, and scalloping the edge of the lower terrace. The front façade is articulated with balconies and panels of brick and render, with windows overlooking the mature trees which have been retained.
